Several of the containers projects are going to change their go import paths. Some of this work had been when we made the monorepo container-libs; where we moved storage, common, and image into a singular repository. The moves that are taking place now are not nearly as extreme and the motivations are also different. We are making the changes because we are preparing for a possible organizational change in the future, and we want the least amount of change to those impacted.
As such, we will be moving the module import paths for Podman, Buildah, and Skopeo to go.podman.io. The pull request to setup the renaming in containers/go.podman.io is already merged. And the pull request for skopeo has been proposed.
If you are tracking the main branches of skopeo or buildah (or podman) in your go imports, you will need to rename your import paths once each project has been altered as well. If you are tracking a tagged version, then no immediate action is needed. But once we cut a new release for Podman 6, you will also need to alter your paths.
